Supper

Building upon the success of the China-Britain Business Council's Chinese Burns Supper, we were delighted to present the inaugural Chinese Shakespeare Supper.

Timed to fall between the date of Shakespeare’s birth - 23rd April - and China’s Dragon Boat Festival, it was held on Thursday 21st May 2026 directly beneath Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in the UnderGlobe.

The event celebrated the many innovative ways that Shakespeare has been translated, interpreted and shared with China, and vice-versa. It was at once a celebration of UK-China cultural understanding, collaboration and Business success.
